Domestic & Commercial Heating Oil Systems

West Fuel Systems is an OFTEC registered business, with all our engineers having completed OFT-10-600A Oil Storage and Supply.

We provide a nationwide service, supplying, installing, maintaining and decommissioning above and below ground oil storage tanks and supply systems for domestic and commercial facilities.

All of our projects comply with OFTEC technical book 3, which gives guidance on installation requirements for domestic and commercial oil storage and supply systems for liquid fuels to BS 2869 (Class C2 Kerosene and Class D Gas Oil), bioliquids to EN 14214 and bio liquid/mineral fuel blends to OPS 24, serving fixed combustion appliances.

Our range of bunded heating oil tanks meets all current oil storage regulations in the UK. They are renowned for strength, reliability and quality. Suitable for domestic, commercial and agricultural applications for new build and existing buildings. They safeguard the property against potential oil spills or ground contamination and provide peace of mind knowing that the oil supply is stored in good quality and reliable oil storage tanks.

We also offer a range of fire-protected tanks for domestic and commercial applications, ranging in size from 1150 litres to 15000 litres. These are available with either 30 or 60-minute fire protection.

Fire protection for steel tanks can also be tailor-made, with the fire stop being a cost-effective method that requires no brickwork, barriers or firewalls to be erected on-site, making sure there are no delays in installing your oil tank. Fire stop tanks are suitable for all sites requiring fire protection for oil storage and can be sited next to boundaries, buildings, windows and structures etc. The product has LABC (Local Authority Building Control) system approval in compliance with the building regulations, and the fire barrier is constructed from a high-quality fire retardant material.

West Fuel Systems provide above-ground bulk and day storage tanks in steel or plastic from 500 litres to 150,000 litres with all our steel tanks being constructed from 6 mm steel to BS799-5 standard. With all our above ground fuel storage tank installations being fully compliant with the Environment Agency and DEFRA Oil Storage Regulations 2015.

We offer a range of pipework solutions in single and secondary contained to suit this application including Brugg, Dura Pipe PLX, Omega Flex and Geberit Mapress with options being available which can be monitored by our SGB Class One Leak Detection Systems.

Contaminated fuel inside above ground fuel storage tanks can cause filter blockages and pump failures in some cases leading to big repair bills. Storage tanks particularly those with low usage are prone to microbes and bugs with the need for a Fixed Fuel Conditioning System, a must in most cases.
